Hexagon Backsplash in a Kerrville Shaker Kitchen
This kitchen backsplash project covered the full wall area between the countertops and upper cabinets, including the full-height section behind the professional range and hood. The homeowners chose a 3-inch white porcelain hexagon tile in a flat-lay pattern — the geometric shape gives the surface visual interest without competing with the leather-pull shaker cabinet hardware or the veined marble countertops. The grout joint was set at 1/16 inch in a warm white to keep the surface clean and cohesive. The backsplash runs floor-to-ceiling on the range wall, which required fitting around the stainless hood — a section we templated in cardboard before cutting the actual tile.
