This walk-in shower in a Kerrville home combines large-format Carrara marble-look porcelain on the walls with a penny mosaic floor — a classic pairing that works because the small round floor tiles provide traction and visual texture while the large wall tiles keep the space from feeling busy. The built-in bench is tiled in matching wall tile, with a bullnose edge profile on the seat edge to create a clean finished look. The transition between the penny tile floor and the larger wall tile at the curb was handled by running the penny tile up the curb face, then capping with a marble-look bullnose tile on top.
