White Subway Tile Kitchen Backsplash in Kerrville

A straightforward but carefully executed subway tile backsplash in a Kerrville kitchen remodel. The 3x6 white ceramic subway tiles are set in a traditional offset (running bond) pattern with a 1/3 offset rather than the standard 1/2 offset, which gives the surface a slightly more contemporary feel while staying true to the format. The grout joint is 1/8 inch in a warm off-white. The full-height section behind the stainless range hood required cutting around the exhaust opening, which we handled with a wet-saw and a diamond blade sized for ceramic. The upper row terminates under the upper cabinets with a flat-edge finish, and the counter-level row is capped with a pencil liner trim piece.
